It is the main objective of GPDCO to Operate and Maintain the Al-Ghubrah Power & Desalination Plant with very high performance and at the best level of Operation, Maintenance and HSE Standards.
GPDCO is fully committed to comply with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 18001:2007 Quality and HSE Management Systems by way of continually improving the following guidelines:
Establish and maintain an Organizational structure for Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management
Implemented and maintain a documented Integrated Management System compliant with ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
Set Quality, Health, Safety and Environment standards for all regulatory, legislative requirements.
Ensure employee competency and recognize that all employee's responsibility to comply with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment requirements.
Develop systems and procedures aimed at reducing HSE Risks and systematically audit work practices and identify potential HSE hazards with the commitment of prevention injury and ill health.
Ensure proper resources are available at all levels.
GPDCO strives hard to convey the message to all the employees about this requirement and encourages them to practice HSE and Quality requirements in order to protect not only themselves but also others from accidents and subsequent injuries, occupational illness and environmental damages that the staffs could include due to their actions.
GPDCO has also made it mandatory to all the contractors who work inside the Al-Ghubrah Plant to comply with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment requirements to a level that is equal to that set to GPDCO employees and to ensure the availability of these standards to all interested parties.
GPDCO believes that there is no end to Quality and HSE improvement and requirement and there is always a room to improve, which is done by periodic reviews.
